Biology Olympiad Club

First meeting on September 4th at 4pm PT! We will be going over Campbell Biology chapters 2-4. Before the session, please skim them at a minimum and read them fully if you need a refresher or plan to take AP Biology/USABO!

Welcome to the 2026–2027 SOHS Biology Olympiad Club! Meeting Structure Each meeting will cover topics aligned with specific chapter(s) in Campbell Biology. Members are required to read the corresponding textbook chapters before the session. The meeting will consist of a 45 min interactive lecture and a 15 min problem-solving & bonus section. The lecture will cover only the hardest parts of the Campbell material, and add discussion on interesting real-world applications. The problem-solving section will feature AP Biology and USABO problems, sometimes with additional resources for those who want to dive deeper. Goals for 2026-2027 • Complete a full Campbell review by April • Have every member attempt the USABO Open Exam • Build a shared question bank of 200+ practice problems (including daily questions) • Host guest sessions with USABO finalists All materials will be posted here after each session.
